CA Cap insignia

By way of an introduction I thought I would post these images of a field made trapezoid insignia, the red stitching is as it was taken from the cap and is untouched.



This was given to me by the guy who used to deliver Pink Paraffin to my dad. He was a veteran of the D Day landings and this was taken on/around D Day itself.

Very nice, this is one of the ways they used to attach the insignia on m43 caps, as there was not a standard trapezoidal insignia for the km land based units.

This is a FAIRLY commom way that KM m43 insginia was applied at the factory level too !!! Billbert
