Kriegsmarine Slide Rule

I recently acquired this slide rule that I believe is for Kriegsmarine artillery. I was wondering if someone could explain it in greater depth to me beyond what I have learned from the rear text? I am not terribly intuitive when it comes to math so any explanations would be very welcome.

Can you show us the Kriegsmarine markings on it please, if any?

There are none, but I have found this fax relating to a ruler exactly like mine.
