    Рea jacket KM

Good day. I am interested in your thoughts on this sailor's pea coat. It shows traces of buttonholes and an eagle, sewn some strange alum. Upon closer inspection, he found that the buttons were sewn and there was another top row like an officer's coat. There are several stamps. In the sleeves of the lining such as on the coats of the Wehrmacht M43. I tried to photograph everything in detail.
Are you interested in the original Reich times or the post-war pea coat?

Original wartime peacoat or Collani Jacke.
Modifications do not look wartime done but can easily be undone.
Just needs collar patches, eagle and some Laufbahn / career patch then.

To me it looks like a original Kriegsmarine Colani/Pea jacket.

The golden rank strips , havent got anything to do with Kriegsmarine. Why somebody have sewed them on is a bit of a riddle.

This is a post-war pea jacket. This is evidenced by the lining.

I have to disagree. This type of lining is often found on war time Pea jackets.

Rubbish. Standard lining for wartime tunics.

Here is a couple of photos of a Danish made War time Kriegsmarine Pea jacket.

On the photo with the size and makers markings it is clear to see that they have used the same kind of lining.

I think this should be evidence enough to prove my point.

Jens, thanks for the pictures. Could you add a large photo of the eagle?

We have already discussed this with you on another forum. A pea coat that you have early entries and has a different lining, my later version with a different lining.

What about the pea coat from
                          danish dragoon?
Why do you consider it a non-original pea coat KM?

I wanted to hear your opinion.

I agree 100%. The fabric is found on many products of the war period.
