Ben, I looked at that on ebay and dismissed it as being in too bad shape. Ha! I am now kicking myself in the arse!!

            Mike, so did I.

Believe me that I went a little over $100 when I aquired it from my friend.

              Hi Ben,
that's really interesting. Is the sun a decal or painted. Looks like it may be painted...

                Hi Ty,

in the flesh you can actually see it's a decal.
When in hands you can also see a particular camo pattern with stripes in a different color on both sides of the helmet. Unfortunately the pictures ain't doing this helmet much justice. The full green/gray first paint layer is still present on the outside for example.

                  A classic Mongolian Camo. Ben.

Nice to get a glimpse of the original decal on such a rare piece.

                    Hi Billy,

it looks odd next to a SS-DD or Fallschi though.

I beleve this is a German ww2 helmet re-used after the war by Norway...

                      best regards Tom

                          Hi Tom,

I would sincerely suggest you read that documentation again.
If you can find many helmets that are exactly like that than you are a rich man, go for them I would suggest
Also, I would appreciate it very much if you would not use a thread started by me to advertise your website and try to sell your slings.

What other helmet? You might have noticed that the sun is not a symbole of Norway at all.

It shouldn't be a "decal", and if it were, someone put it there. All Chinese WWII helmets were STENCILED, not DECALED; and the thickness of the stencial, specially on the sunburst, can misled your eyes into thinking it is a traditional German style decal. The stencil process was applied to the British helmet and US M1 helmet throughout the war.

                                Here's my M35 Chinese helmet.....Bakersfield baby....from a trailer home no less......!!
