    Hi Rommel,

Have been to Stalingrad a few times and know the Battlefield quite well and was just wondering which part your photos were from as i have mostly been around Pitomnik,Rossoschka, Marinovka and Dmitrievka.

Looks like quite a few bunkers in the side of the Balka !!

    regards

Why it is impossible to get the liner?

It is delirium! An example, you have bought the old car and it cannot be disassembled for repair??? It will stand in garage as stuff?

of course you can repair a car, and you can(if you want) restore an historic object, but in tis particular case (relics) the people is looking for objects who remain untouched since they were left, as part of the history,(MHO) but what a h...ll is your so you can do with them wearever you want

No it is not delirium. The majority of collectors dont even want helmets that have been taken appart. It risks damaging parts of the helmet, and defenetly damaged the $$ value, that you are quite interested in as far as I saw from the Luft helmet thread.
You can do what ever you want with your items though, they are your property. If you want to ruin them, feel free to do so.

I will explain to the ignorant. I lower the dug out helmet in special acid that the rust has descended. In this acid it is impossible to lower the aluminium liner.
Still I wished to show brands on the original liner.

then dont descend the rust leave as it was, but as i said is your helmet you can do everything you want, but if you are planning to sell those your price will be going down very down
