    Czech belt buckle

    The buckle says in Czech "Czechoslovakian Scout - Be Prepared." I don't know anything in particular about the organization or its gear, but I would imagine this buckle dates to pre-WW2 as the organization was banned by the Nazis, then again in 1948 or so by the communists, and was only reformed after the Velvet Revolution in 1989, with Czechoslovakian splitting into two separate nations just a few years later.         HELLO ,yes is post war Czechoslovakian buckle../comunist youth/scouth/ something like HJ..this organisation finished after revolution in 1989..you can buy them for about 10/20/30usd

          Dave,
          I just checked a Czech forum which says if it is made of brass, it is pre-WW2, while if from iron it is postwar, from 1968-70.
