just picked up, IMHO it is pre-WW2 pattern, issued for early African campagins. I'm a right? Thanks in advance

it is an Italian handbag, used by ambulance, it is definitely prior to World War II, but no specific of the war in A.O.I.
The leather version was in use since the First World War.
The passer-metal, was used to fix a lamp for night operations.
