I am researching Brigadier General Alfonso Moretti and I am hopeful that some forum members can add some information to the topic.
~Born in Naples 1892;
~Served for years on the Austrian Front from 1915-1918 and wounded in combat;
~Promoted to Brigadier in 1938;
~Believed to have served in Ethiopia, Libya, and possibly Sudan;
~Believed to have commanded a Motorized Regiment;
~Surrendered to Germans in Yugoslavia in 1943;
~Died in Naples in 1958
This data comes from various sources and should be considered suspect until independently proven.
I would be appreciative if a member can add to this narrative, even if just to confirm or deny what I already have.
Thanks in advance,
Mike
