Iì'm posting some photos from the manuals of the time, bearing in mind that
the Italian R. Navy adopted since the beginning of the past century the Mills
webbing system.Generally greysh colour even if later, expecially during WWII
it is possible to find white and khaki colour.Useful to remember that all this equipment has been made in Italy.

Interesting to note also that the ammo pouches system could be made by one,
two or three pieces per side.

every pouch could have press black buttons marked R. Marina or press unmarked smooth black buttons: to my knowledge no other type of buttons
has been ever issued on these items.

                      Mod. 30 Gunner?

                      Hello Paolo,

Great pictures! Do you have images of what the equipment set would be for a Marine issued with the Breda Mod. 30? Would it have been the same as the NCO's gear just with the addition of the Breda 30 magazine pouch?

Do you also have pictures of the San Marco haversack as well?

                      Thanks.

                      -Tim

"six italians, dressed in rather unusual diving suits and equipped with materials of laughably little cost have swung the military balance of power in the Mediterranean in favour of the Axis".

I know the R. Marina had all the web equipment also for the Breda30, but
unfortunately I don't have any foto of them in use.PaoloM
