7 Button M40 tunic?

Hello, I’m posting this to get a little clarification. I found this picture of a group of soldiers, and one is wearing what seems to be an M40 tunic with 7 buttons. Of course there was the 6 button type some classify as the M41, but what is this? Was this a manufacturing mistake or maybe a modified tunic? I can’t find anything on 7 button tunics. Any help would be appreciated!
