    Heer Artillery Tunic Opinions

    Hi guys!

I quite new to Uniform collecting and would really like some help on this piece. I was told that the insignia was restitched at some point, but all other parts to be original. Would anyone else be able to give their opinions on this item, or any additional information?

PS - disregard the medal and ribbon bar. I just included these to fill out the set.

    I really appreciate the help!
    William

Orginal tunic, retailored to use as walking out.

Insignia is probably orginal to the tunic exept the eagle.

Nice looking "best dress/walking out" tunic! The eagle seems to be post war reapplied but the rest of the insignia look period applied. Also, it looks to have been shortened a bit. The interesting thing about your tunic is that it is an M41 pattern tunic, with the earlier belt suspension strap slits in the lining but with a 42 date?

Thanks guys for the feedback. I really appreciate it!

Does anyone have a period applied eagle that I can compare this eagle to? I would really like to learn how to spot re-applied eagles for the future.

                      Thanks again for the help!

You can see the outline of the previous eagle to the left of the swas and under the wings. Matt
