The Edelweiss on feldgrau are on the market for decades as said , also with some differences in the making , not all of them exactly the same from the same machine .
Why very late war made when the dark green colour started to be replaced by feldgrau in 1940 already : shoulder boards , jacket collars , specialist patches ...
The embroidery is a classical german period making with classical ersatz silk threads used and the feldgrau base is original : why postwar ?
When the first repro were made in the 70's , it was always on dark green , not feldgrau . The knowledge level was not that high to introduce this variation .
Late war or even very late war Edelweiss are made on a thin viscose base , not even on wool , like the specialists patches also .

What problem to make such stripe after war? Weaver's cars were, threads were, information on original stripes too.
I think such Edelweiss patch is the copy, besides there is no documentary photo of the gebirgsjagers with such Edelweiss
