Looks like a killer tunic with original attatched collar tabs and shoulderboards! Combat worn
Better pictures are needed of eagle, wich at first looks like it has a very FAT body/wings... but with several thousand different variations around im not so sceptic!
And a close up picture of the piping on the cap is needed. If it is a recoloured infantry visor it's not that strange, but it would be good to see what it is.
I’d be really careful of this set. Provenance? This seems to be perfectly poised “bait” for a collector wanting a combat-used panzer Grenadier rig. I’m on my phone so don’t have quality pics. But from iPhone pics I might agree with the guy who said that hat piping looks re-colored.
On thing to consider with re-coloring is that this unit was originally an Infanterie Regiment. If it was done, it is plausible within the history of the 19. Infanterie/Panzer Division. You could also look for signs of the collar tabs being replaced.
you can see the whole shoulder seem has been moved and opened.
Not for me!
Agreed...
Sloppy application...but perhaps still period done (by officer himself or wife?)
when they converted from Infantry to PzGren. Who knows?
The rank pips are NCO silver not officer gold...(it also happened)
The numerical unit cyphers do look like warn off gold.
