Hello again!

I would like to ask your honest opinions about this jacket that i have recently acquired.

The jacket definitely is salty but original with alot of fixes and some moth holes, but how about the collar tabs and the chest eagle? to me it seemed original, since it is not stitched through as pointed in the picture.

I myself have added the original shoulderboards.

It looks like the tunic was opened up at the seam and then eagle was machine sewn see the difference in thread by the markings

The breast eagle might be original to the tunic but from this one image I would not say for sure. The collar tabs are actually Coastal Artillery tabs indicated by the white section in the middle. They are obviously replaced and the stitching holes along the edge of the collar suggest there was Tresse for an NCO on the collar at one time.

After looking at another image I agree with Lenny the eagle is replaced.

Maybe this has been a pov tunic since the insignias have been removed, including the tresse cord?
Its too bad someone has "restored" it with incorrect tabs.
Oh well, atleast the price was low! Maybe ill put the correct nco infantry tabs and shoulderboards in the future, and also restore the collar tresse.
