Named Wien made Artillery Captain tunic set

    Hello All,

Share with everyone this Wien made Artillery officer tunic and breeches. The set is in near unworn condition.

The tunic is named to officer Frans Kratky (or Hans Kratky?) But unfortunately I have no additional information of this officer.

    Hope you like the set.

    Thanks!

    Best,
    Shawn

Nice set, now to do some research on the name. Matt

                  Superb tunic.

Lack of breast award loops is interesting for a fairly senior officer. Perhaps a pre or early war "Sunday best" he never bothered to update.

Some officers did use the pins on the awards to mount them. A lack of loops is not a real issue.

I tried to find a match to the name for early war but there were none on the list of Austrian officers who transferred into the Heer or in the 1939 Heer list. He probably was commisioned later. The boards are for an Army dress tunic or are LW Flak (used by Heer) and normally would not be worn with this type of tunic but it was occasionally done and these may be original to the tunic.

I have with this tunic a very good feeling it's 100% untouched!
