      Pz. Pionier

Only my opinion; but, I do not care for them from the pictures shown. One of the first things that stands out is general "shape" of the straps in the first picture. They seem to be misshapen and poorly made. On the back side, do both straps have the seam running down them, next to the button hole?

        no cigar

I think they are reproductions from what I see. As I have stated in a few threads original Pz. Pio. piping like this appeared at a show maybe 30 years ago and has been seen even around wrapper tunic collars since then.

Fakes to me too. Poor construction form, wool is off and button holes don't thrill me either.

There was an "SS" pair at the SOS with the same piping. The SS never used this. As Pauke mentions, I have been told that original piping was found by collectors/dealers in the 80s etc and since then many boards have appeared with the same type of piping.

Piping is original, but straps are not.
