It's not for a specific unit, it's for a tunic. They were available for purchase and you see Bullion eagles on Officer and some NCO tunics. Matt

        Hi Matt,

thanks for details. I mean if this one is for for example wehrmacht, kriegsmarine, panzer, political etc. Why the cloth color is black?

        Any details welcome.

        Best regards

          Hi Pavel,
To me it looks like a really dark green cloth for a Heer officer. You have it in hand, though, so put it next to an item you know is black (even a modern piece of clothing) in natural sunlight and see what color it shows. If black, I would assume it's for a Panzer wrap, but others can give a better answer than I on that.

            Hi Dale,

thanks for your reply. Yes the cloth is black. Does it mean it is a eagle for panzer officer? I want to post the eagle on e-stand so I would like to put the correct identification there.

            Best regards
            Pavel

              Pavel,

Take it outside and get some sunlight on it, I think it's just dark bottle green so just a regular Heer eagle. If it's legitimately on black then it's a Pz eagle. It also works well if you look at it against a black shirt or something, it helps determine the background color. Matt

Black or dark Navy blue ?
IMO a KM Administration breast eagle on Navy blue backing .
Put a blue KM item and a black something beside to tell the difference .

                  Hi all,

thanks for details. In hand inspection I would swear the color is black as night. But see the picture comparing the color with the black EK core - now it seems more like really dark blue....

So what is the resut? KM administrative?

                  Best regards

                    Hi Pavel,
It does look more like dark blue for KM in this photo. Did you take the picture in natural sunlight just to be sure? Indoor lighting can distort true colors, sunlight is always best. Still, at this point I think it is a dark KM blue.

                      Hi Dale,

the picture was made by scanner. When I ask my wife she says is 100% black. Here are some sun light pictures, together with some 100% black items. Also on my black pants. Now it looks like black.....

                      What do you think?
                      More opinions welcome.

                      Best regards

Second picture on post 12 confirms its dark navy blue.
                              My opinion is Administrative KM...
