    Aiguillette for review?

    Hey guys,

I recently purchased a large grouping of items from an Artillery man and one of the items that was in this lot was this Aiguillette...I like the overall quality and construction but my biggest concern was the metal tips on the end. Every one I have ever encountered before had aluminum ones with an ornate pattern. Is everything still okay here? Thanks in advance!

          I don't believe that's a TR period aiguillette.

My army parade and adjutant aiguillettes don't have knots above the ferrules.

DDR all the way. The shooting lanyard looks fine - I am not sure about the officer's cap cord, but it may just be the angle of the photo.

Thanks for the help guys! Don here are a few other photos of the officer chin cord that was in the mix. The aiguillette and chin cord are the only officer's items in the mix so if it is post war I wouldn't be suprised.

Thanks again for the assistance everyone.

In my opinion the chin cord is not TR era, unless it it some sort of obscure civilian organization. I think the slides may be TR, or DDR, but the cords themselves are not.
