Every collection has a starting point.
My collection of Afrika Korps uniforms and equipment started with this piece.
An Australian veteran of the North Africa campaign gave me this belt. He got it after one of the early battles.
The belt:
The buckle is aluminum and was once painted field-green:
The belt and buckle are in good condition, the buckle is dated 1938 whilst the belt is date 1916!!
Not your usual DAK belt, but an interesting oddity.
