Nice photos but don't see the connection ? So this is your proof ? The threadstarter tunic is not featured in any of these photos ? We need more photos of the tunic ?

The one photo from Afrika post #25 (lower pic) is a standard third pattern tunic not this jacket.

If you send me his name, I have all the lists of the officers that were in these units.

I, for one am favorably impressed by the photos and am leaning towards acceptance of your grouping as complete and untouched. The tunic appears to be tailor-made in the style of an issue tunic; this would explain the anomalies in construction, such as the French cuffs, lack of belt supports and markings and possibly even eagle placement. The tunic appears to be the one being worn by your officer in the photo of him leaning back in a chair. The grouping is fantastic, with the continental tunic and period studio portrait particularly appealing. I also like the album photos of early Nebelwerfer troops. The boots still concern me as they are not issue, but may well be private purchase, like the tunic. Many thanks.

So they sent me his name and the assignment to WR 83 after its formation in 1944 is verified on unpublished lists I have for Nebelwerfer units.

I have the lists for Africa for WR 71 as well but they are not complete. He is not in there- but officers were sent later was replacements which based on the hotel receipt is suggested. Many people became sick almost immediately and were sent back to Germany before the surrender and never were awarded the CT.

He survived the war and became a Doctor living in West Germany in NRW after the war

Is there a particular reason to hide his name ?
