Opinions on EM enlisted artillery boards

    Hello,

These artillery boards look nice and original to me. Nothing glows under a blacklight. They look similar to other original boards that I've seen on this site and some other sources. They also have that vintage "smell". I would still appreciate some other opinions from more knowledgeable members. Thanks for your time and help! 4 photos to follow.

    Best regards,
    Frank

                Reproductions

I am sorry; but, they are a common reproduction.

Which are the points not correct on these boards?
                  Thanks

The construction is poorly done. On the backs, these pieces always have a stitched seam right down the middle of the straps. The piping does not look like original wool piping.

Though much less frequently seen on M40 straps, it is usually rayon, here is a pair of M40 Artillerie straps with wool piping.

I really appreciate all the replies! I don't collect shoulder boards but I wanted a pair to add to a display with a salty M43 tunic. Thanks for the added helpful information. I can return these with no problems. Thanks very much for the help!

                      Best regards,
                      Frank

                            StuG. Abt. 280

Thank you. I was excited to get them. It is possible that they came from StuG Abt. 280. That unit was at Arnhem in Sept. 1944 and later in the Colmar area.
