    DAK artillery officer binocular use?

I have been working at a uniform display to represent a DAK artillery Leutnent and want to place binoculars on it for visual effect but want it to be period correct.

    My question is twofold:

First, what power binoculars would most likely have been used by an artillery junior officer?

Second, what binocular markings would be correct for one in use during 1941? Would it be a 3-letter code at this stage or full maker name?

    Hi,
black 7x50 binos I would say.

For a DAK arty officier in 1941, I would prefer the full name of the maker instead of the 3-letters code.

        Agree,
I'd also go back and keep looking at source photos - that will answer your general query.

Thank you for the helpful hints, now I just have to find the right example. The search is always half the fun!
