Question about feldbluse m36

Hello,
A lot of m36 field Jackets have plated low pocket. Is it only for walk out jacket or is it possible to see them during the assault?

All M36 tunics (feldblusen) have pleated upper and lower pockets and are used for either field wear and dress wear (a spare set) since the Waffenrock was obsoleted.
This might help! (basic info...The girl in the period image is actually wearing a Czechoslovakian converted uniform, not a Heer M42...wrong!)
