Such period modifications by modifying buttonholes on wraps are very seldomly observed.
This one is probably a tailor made one :

The whole point of having the "hidden fly" buttons on the wraps was to prevent them snagging on stuff in the interior of the vehicle, so in my opinion that if the wrap is good the modifications came after the war.
