Is this a model 44 tunic or possibly post war East German made up to look TR ?

Fabric and Pockets look post war East German. I own a genine M44 and have had one of these DDR tunics. -
Diificult to tell much from one photo. Cut is wrong, too many buttons positioned too low on the coat, waist band does not appear to be a separate piece of material. Probably started life as a four pocket something that was cut down thus throwing off the dimensions. This would explain the uneveness of the pockets. Cannot speculate what is going on with the collar.

Not the M44 german cut .
Likely a east block country post war jacket like Czech which used such
short jackets or shirts .
