    I forgot to mention the presence of 2 holes for the shoulder-board button is a 'tell-tale' sign of East German tunics.

    With respect to the cufftitle, the spacing between the letters is enough for me to believe it to be a repro.

      Totally correct, this is a Ministry of the Interior (MdI) property stamped East German tunic of the 60's with repro insignia.

      East German tunics and trousers worn by police of all types are normally stamped "MdI": Ministry of the Interior.
