    Cloth eagle, afrika korps?

    Hi guy's,

I was wondering what kind of eagle this is?
I received an offer of 100 euros but not sure if this
is the right price, seems a bit much?

    Cheers,
    Eric

The colors are difficult to see in the photo.... looks like "Gold/brown" eagle on lite tan background.... possibly faded to almost white.... which would be a NAVY TROPICAL eagle.... (not "Afrika Korps")....

There "should not be" a gold on white bevo eagle.... Navy eagles (except Administrative) are always gold (sometimes a "brownish" actual color) or Blue on white... Army didn't use "gold" except for Generals and this is not a Generals eagle.

A tropical breast eagle is certainly worth "in that range retail" to someone who knows his stuff and willing to pay for what he wants.... doesn't mean you have to charge that much, of course.....

Actual colors are hard to tell in the photos... however.

        Hello,

It is a known reproduction. If you have no conscience, take the money and run. This eagle has been reproduced in a number of different colors. White on black seems to be the most seen.
The eagle is a 4 small wing type and has a saw tooth pattern over the top of the wing on the reverse!! There are some examples here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=344867 Post #8 is the panzer example. I hope this helps.
