    WWI or WWII Boots?

Are these (I do have a pair) of boots WWI or WWII vintage? I have always thought they were German but I may be wrong. Each does have a inner white hbt pull strap. Thanks in advance! daniel tarr817j

I would post this in the equipment forum where field gear is discussed. You can also try the WW1 forum...I do think that shorter shaft boots are often considered an earlier pattern...but I am not an expert on these...

They look like good, original WW1 German boots.I've seen an identical pair on a friend's mannequin and he's an advanced WW1 collector!IIRC the tell-tale is the sewing on the side rather than on the back!
        Best Regards
