    Gebirgs-Artillerie-Regiment

Just a question about the insignia of Gebirgs-Artillerie-Regiments. Would the 94th. Gebirgs-Artillerie-Regiment have had the numerals "94" on the officers boards with the red piping. I kow the red piping would have been worn with the GJ edelweiss, but I want to know about the numerals. Please all the GJ guys out there. Thanks. J

Yes. The boards would have the 94 numerals on red piped boards.

All units of any branch given the designation as a "Gebirgs" unit would wear the edelweiss as well as other units assigned to GJ formations. Same with Jager units.

The answer below is absolutely correct (as is Johnny's, but Brooks' addresses your question).

Thanks, I will try to focus on only answering the specific questions next time. Life is so hard sometimes. I makes my head hurt.

I had a feeling things would go this way - I tried avoiding it by giving John props for a correct point, but no good deed goes unpunished of course.

              Smooth move Jacques

Here are some Gebirgs Artillery Boards from Collectors Guild. Although not officer they help reinforce the point.
