Hello,

I need some help with this one! Extra long slightly drooped wings?
I remember seeing a period photo of a similar eagle mounted on a tunic sleeve!
can find that photo now though..

Hi Steve

Not an expert so wait for other opinions but to me your eagle looks like a regular embroidered Heere or panzer (difficult to judge background colour from the picts) eagle worn on the right breast. The "drooping" probably occured from its stay on the uniform. The early SS and the Bahnschutz (Railway security) both wore a "drooped wing" eagle on the left sleeve but these birds were facing right instead of left as per the attached Bahnschutz specimen

The heer wingspan is about 7-8mm longer..

I have seen a similar bevo pattern as well... but only one!

Hello Steve,

Embroidered eagles are always hard to tell. I like the look of this one. I believe that it is just a standard breast eagle .
