About five years ago someone in France was selling interesting reproductions of cufftitles on eBay--Feldgendamerie, 1st pattern GD, Marineoberhelfer and'36 Spanien '39-- as a set which I bought just to see how well they are made. All of the back sides look like your cufftitle and yours is therefore perhaps a reproduction. The one detail that is noticeably odd in my repro is the thinner and stiffer feeling of the cloth and the brown color is slightly lighter than the "standard" cufftitle, milk chocolate versus dark chocolate. But the front lettering is the same as yours. I thought it a good idea to purchase excellent looking reproductions just to have for reference.Comment
