Unknown shoulder boards, ID help

I've had these shoulder boards for a long time but never knew exactly what they were.

Size reminds me of Eastern European designs, maybe Russian, post WW1-WW2 era? Any help would be appreciated!

Will do. I checked my Eastern Peoples uniform last night and the boards do look very similar to yours although yours seem to have been cut off a uniform and are not the full length of the boards.

Yeah, I looked online for some references and found a few. My boards are similar but not exact matches, most obvious being their shorter stature.

If we go into the realm of assumptions, perhaps mine are field made prior to their removal, the white stripes look hastily added from a cotton material, from an old repurposed piece of cloth.

Rare to find many the same. Uniforms for these troops were gathered from any and everywhere.

Thats a good sign, these boards are definitely crude compared to other boards from the west with standing armies and traditions. Interesting pieces, glad I finally asked... always wondered what these were from. I appreciate your help!
