Striwa Lederwaren has been around for a long time - but this design of label was used in the 50s and early 1960s

          The 1940s logo was different

The logo and label design of your civilian leather coat is from the late 1950s

See registration and the patent dates below

                Hi,

You'll be able to find period photos of the occasional civilian-style coat in wear by an officer. If you find one for sale and are able to pinpoint the construction to a '38 - '44 date range (which might be near impossible to do), then it might have been owned/worn by a TR officer. But the liklihood of that will be slim. So if getting a period example that was actually worn/owned by a TR officer is important to you, then you should wait for a true military configuration.

                J-

These officers are Hungarian I believe... or perhaps Croatian ....or Slovenian? Whatever they are, definitely not German!
so not German armed forces examples...Just a German EK2 awarded...

It is more likely for non German military of para-military German to wear civilian source leather overcoats like these depicted.
Here the same images from post # 7, now blown up in full view showing non German field caps... much more clarity!
