    Amazing early uniform

    Hello
I recently got this photo showing a german soldier wearing an early uniform. I thought he was a WH man but he wears a buckle I can't identify.
From wich unit is this guy ?
    Regards
    Alain

Kind of looks like a SA buckle...Perhaps a former member.

These were worn by Police reserve and Landwehr units. They are Dark blue, There are other pictures of them in use. I do not know the details but think they were units that were activated for training before the War or to expand the Heer after 1939.

My first impression was Heer Forestry, a standard Heer tunic in dark green without collar patches. Is that a Forestry buckle?

The tunics are dark blue not green, I have seen examples in collections. I am pretty sure they are early Landwehr tunics or police surplus etc-

I think you are probably right, they appear to be the same as in the previous thread(s).

I need to dig around, I am pretty sure I have a captioned album with several pictures of men in these and I think it mentions annual training. That would answer it. Earlier Landwehr units traditionally also wore blue uniforms all the way back to the 18th Century.
