    Hello,
    I have doubts about this coat, especially on the straps ...

    An original mantel...Sew-in straps are unusual to me...unless it is a private purchase piece which this on is not...(based on the stamps)
    Maybe early prewar government issued ones had such sew-in style straps...
    or perhaps it's been opened up and these straps added (war time or modern days modified...I am thinking the latter...you can see stitching).
    Either way the base mantel no doubt is legit! Pre-war production (1938 depot stamp). Good coat otherwise!
