Heer white tunic: medal or ribbon bar - which is correct?

Which is correct dress out of the two? I have only seen the latter so assume this is correct?

In my pics I only see the ribbon bars being worn. Matt

Ribbon bar typical but many officers only wore an EKI and no bar. Many times these also were worn without any awards at all.

I have not seen a photo with a medal bar, John - although I suspect some posed studio shots may have utilized them - hope things are well in Blighty!

Thanks Guys - and Don! Here is the tunic with 'your' adjutants' aiguillettes pinned on, that's why I bought them ready for a white tunic to come along!

By the way Don, I read your post about woolite in the bath while your wife was out - it worked a treat for me too.

Just need a nice pair of infantry slip on boards, a ribbon bar and an EK1 spange now to complete it.

I'll look in my photo albums tonight and see if I can dig out the photos I have of officers in these summer white tunics. I know I have a few with the ribbon bar in wear.

I agree these are highly underrated tunics and to enjoy them. This style with the set up for slip on boards is by far my favorite. Matt
