Guess the eagle...

Hello Guys.

What eagle would you say it is on this tunic?

The vet doesnt remember it.....and im trying to restore the eagle to the tunic that he is wearing on the picture.

Any guesses? My guess is an officer eagle.....

Yeah , im puzzled...

Ill try to photo the part of the tunic where the eagle was, perhaps it will be much easier then, but i wanted to get a discussion going only based on the picture.

The photo is so bad you can't even see if he is an unteroffizier with a small number or a feldwebel, let alone the eagle.

The eagle has been covered with crayon or something like that. This was done often after the war to prints.

Ill post some pictures of it this weekend.

The Vet is still alive and i only got scans of his pictures....and ofcourse all the information about his career in the wehrmacht.

The svastika is removed on the pic....the vet snugged it out thats why its so hard to see the eagle.
