    But i have very little faith in custom items without any provenance.....

    Custom made, is a way to explain and except fakes imo.
    How do you explain the wear of the tunic? It has an Original officers breast eagle + the EK ribbon and all Original buttons with S rings to it.

    Thats a lott of an investment in to a copy? only for 250 dollar?

    It does have a litte red shadow over the collar tabs in daylight.

    Inside the jacket is seems there has been a (maker)tag, which has been removed. See photos

      How does any of that make it a legit jacket ? Could be added anytime postwar.
      Wear is easy to contrive. Someone wants to make money. There is no way to know if this jacket was in the War. It requires faith to believe it.

      Glad you have the faith. You may enjoy this thread...

        The more I see the less I like this jacket to be honest. The differential wear levels and everything I see gives me a odd feeling about it. IMO I think whatever it was, it has been monkeyed with to make it appear like a worn and stripped General officers tunic.

          I still like the jacket but would venture to guess that it was worn post war for sure but we can never be 100% sure. I still think its got a chance and for 250 bucks worth the risk to some and not to others. Matt

            The reason why i have faith;

            - It has been positive been judged trough hands on by Detlev, Bill Shea and the forummember who i bought it from.
            - Why invest time to contrive, putting Original insignia and buttons on a piece of 250 dollar?
            To make profit of +/- 100 dollar? Unlikely IMO.
            - You have to look really close if you want to see the red shade on the collartabs, i didn't even noticed... and it has not been selled with the argumentation that is was a general.

            By the way thanks for all your opinions, i took the risk for 250 dollar and i gonna put some medals on it. I still like the piece a lot.
