white skijager patch on stand

I was told these are all fakes.
I had one just like this one (besides the fact it looks to have been bleached) and sent it back to a seller (not this guy) because everyone on here told me it was a fake

looks exactly the same but unbleached.

so was the one I had real? or is the one on the estand fake?

From what I understand all Skijaeger patches on white were reproduction.

The last German Vet I know in the US who is still alive was a Ski Jaeger and told me he never saw any patches in white and added it would defeat the purpose of snow camouflage etc. He said they were aware of the regular patch in Field Grey but no one in his unit wore them or had them issued. He said maybe the training units wore them but he never saw any being worn in the field. I think all of the variations aside from the Bevo most likely are post War.

Also if you look at the one for sale on estand, at first it looks like it was sewn on- but if the raw edges were folded under they would have also been sewn through. They are not. To me, it looks like someone ran the patch around on a sewing machine without thread to create the stitch holes and make it look removed etc.

indeed and you would expect folds in the excess fabric to be folded inwards.

A well known fake. All Ski jager patches are controversial. There is no photographic evidence of any ski jager patch in wear. That being said I own 4 variations. The Bevo as well as both cloth versions have been sold and bought as original. All three versions have shown up in reference books. The one described in Brian Davis book is the only example I have every see.

thank you for putting my mind at ease.

I was thinking I sent back an original that I bought for about $20
and then I see the exact same style for sale on the estand for about 150 euro! I thought I made a bad mistake.

now does someone inform the seller that the patch is a fake?

They ran it through a machine without thread, this is an old trick.
