hello, a question, the medical staff of the wehrmacht heer can have decorations on the jacket of fighting? what could be its armament over medical equipment?

Medical personnel were entitled to wear any of their awarded decorations just as other members of the Wehrmacht. I believe that medics were not to be armed.

German medics were authorized to wear sidearms for personal protection, as I understand it.

Officers only, or enlisted as well?

A frined whose father was an NCO Sanitaeter told me his father carried a small caliber pistol. He disappeared in early 1945 on the Eastern front. Don't know if it was regulation for him to have the sidearm however.

a little off subject, Chaplains were not supposed to carry sidearms either but they did. You have to protect yourself no matter who you are.

I can agree with this. I approached our Chaplain once with this question. His reply is that it's optional. Most would not elect to do so though.

In our Army the field medics carry M-4 Carbines as well, just like rest of us troopers.
