    Reichswehr Dienstrock

    Hi friends,
because i love this kind of tunic, i haven't lost the opportunity to get this very nice, rare and unthouched Reichswehr Dienstrock m20/28 for the Kraftfahr Abteilung as the internal stamps confirmed.

In the Reichswehr the Kraftfahrtruppe wore the pink piping insigna considering that the panzers were forbidden due to the Versaille treaty and they used it to camouflage motorized offensive units as transport. (the transport branch used the pink colour until the Panzer came out into the open. Since then, the mororized transport unit went to light blue

About the internal stamps, KA1 is for 1. Kraftfahrabteilung based in Königsberg and the 2 K is for their second company that was based in Allenstein, now Olsztyn, Poland.

It bring the 11. Panzerabwehr abteilung insigna because, with the establishing of the Wehrmacht, it became the 11. PanzerJaeger abteilung (15 October 1935).
Everithing is perfectly described on http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...Gliederung.htm
As normal, the breast eagle (1st type) was hand applied considering that it was ordered only the February 17th, 1934.

    Hope you like it.
    Regards,
    Alex

                Alex,

This is an absolutely stunning tunic!!. The only thing better for me is if it was IR13. Beautiful! Thank you for showing this.

That's really nice Alex. I seen this tunic as sold on the site and would have very much liked to have acquired such a remarkable example myself.

However, I do have a very similar period NCO tunic (Spiess) with the same type of stamps related to the 33rd PJ regiment that was eventually incorporated into the DAK.
