You did a great job Nick. A dyed tunic now became a piece of history again. Needs a bit of ironing tough haha.
Bet those dyed tunics will get a bit more expesive now.

Anyone who can tell if adding vinegar will remove more dye? This is what I heard...

      Clearly B39 = Berlin Depot 1939 as Johnny correctly stated...and "K.W." maker.
I am happy with the results, although not perfect it is very presentable as a somewhat soiled field tunic! Even the dagger hanger modification (reenforced wool patch) is green now !
I also own a black dyed Luftwaffe fliegerbluse...tempting!!! (but I ran out of this miracle powder...)
Hi Nick, amazing restoration project, congratulations.

IMO the maker and depot stamps are from "K.W." maker as has been stated before, but the depot stamp is from Koningsberg for sure. I have seen several K.W. made garments from that depot, and it was one of the few depots that the code+date was placed inside a square.

        Thanks for the thumbs up!
OK so it is "K W" maker and "K 39" for Königsberg 1939 (not B39...) in Ost Preußen (Eastern Prussia)
Just like this early K38 panzerwrapper! (image from another WAF thread)

Another example! Same maker, same depot!
I guess an East Prussia Depot marked M36 tunic (Konigsberg) could have easily been issued in the Baltics
          (my Estonian SS restoration theme).
Works for me! Thanks for sharing your knowledge Eduardo!

I noticed the austrian nazi party leader was wearing a dyed black uniform, with his second in command in a photo I saw recently in a book, just like this (before dye was removed. Wouldn't it be wierd if the dye job was originally dyed black for his regime, as supporters of the nsdap in another area annexed, purposely. Sometimes changing things can ruin some things we don't know were supposed to be that way, and may have been rarer if left alone worth more left as it was.
