        Agree. I do believe the insignia has been replaced; and you're right about the length shortening. But on another note, the strip added to the pockets is really cool, and I like it!

        Overall a pretty solid piece.

            Added pocket strips

            Given the difficulty of matching field grey cloth , I assume the strips on the pockets were added out of material from the shortened skirts?
            Hard to imagine going to this amount of work on a wartime low ranker uniform ?
            I have an altered M41 with added pockets (gefreiter rank) that also came from Holland.
            Maybe the garrison troops in Holland got bored until late 1944?
