    hbt pz pants : another try

    hello,

    i wish to warn potential buyers about those trousers :

    http://www.oakleafmilitaria.com/1211u3.html

    sold with this description :

    "Army hbt assault gun pants. These rarely encountered pants features the distinctive hbt ( herringbone twill weave) used for drillich clothing that was adapted for field use. The reed green pants display two vertical slash front pockets each secured with a plastic button. The front fly is secured with six tan painted metal scoop dish buttons. Along the waistline are eight tan painted metal scoop dish buttons for attachment of suspenders. There are two built-in cinch belts at the front for size adjustment. The seat display a single patch pocket secured with a metal dish button. The interior is lightly stamped with the RBN number and presumably size. The rare pants are in mint-un-issued condition."

    i post pics to avoid loosing :

      HBT rrousers;

      LW trousers for sure. Nothing to do with AG wear.
      Dealer knows better I'm sure. A misprint.

        I would say that these, in this other thread, are good panzer ones and not LW, as the owner of the first pair thinks ( mostly because the second one is mine and has a Pz unit stamp on it)

          The Pz. marking is a nice touch, though I wouldn't expect to ever see it after say, 1938. At any rate these are not HBT Pz. trousers.

                      The first pattern, that you have shown, are considerably rarer.

                        yes, and its caracteristics are less known, hence the common confusion with the LW pattern used by sellers...

                          LW fatigue pants were executed in green since 1940 as I remember correctly some manuals. These which started this thread were dyed for sure. Very informative thread Gents

                              I guess that in kitchen with use some salt, boiled water and cloth paint mixed together in large pot.
