leather coat

Is this a police or LW Leather coat? What is the estand value? Thanks for your comments in advance.

Hi.
I am afraid that this is a civillian coat, and not a military model. It is possibly from the time of the third reich, but these coats was made from the 30's until the 60's in Germany.
If it is from the period of ww2, it could possibly be used by the Geheime Staatspolizei, or the Gestapo - as these policemen worked undercover or in civillian clothes.
As for value, I am not sure - these coats are constantly for sale at the german ebay.

Old civilian coat...Who wore it and when is anybody's guess....
GESTAPO 1940's does make for a good sales pitch! Who knows?
At least its not East German Staatssicherheit (STASI) based on the address...
