trousers, WH or not?

Hello Gents,

I have this pair of trousers laying around for a long time now, not knowing what they are. They are made of WH cloth and have the style, but what is it exactly, i am not sure.

Cloth and manufacturing all look period and original to me too.
It has a bit of the style of the Gebirgsjäger Hose, but I couldn't find a similar pair of trousers with that small extra pocket on the back.
Is there someone who recognize this and now exactly what it is?

Yes, I was wondering about that "pocket". Perhaps it is not such a pocket but a repairing, trying to make it look like a pocket. A pic of the inside would help.

this pocket on back is interesting,i used to own a luftwaffe oficer trousers with a pocket like this,my theory was its for a knife?

The trousers are from the police. Probably before 1945. The smal pocket is for an riot stick.

aren't police trousers more green than these? I would say privat purchase WH trousers.

You will find this kind of pocket only at police trousers. Maybe an early post war issue manufactured from old WH-cloth or fabric. Definitely not WH.

I don't think of Civillian work wear, they often used garments made of high quality hbt/drillich fabrik for longer durability.
This is produced with good techniques and has the WH style with everything except the pouch.
Early postwar military would make more sence IMO. But so far a lot of different opinions.

If this would be 'only' for police, then Bessleins LW trousers were Police to?
Do you have an example of the police trousers?
