              Coat

              Thank you!

I consider to sell it, maybe on ebay or in Norway.

Wonderful find and a great set of shoulder boards for those of us who love them.

Very nice, that is the heavy coat that was worn over a greatcoat- a "guardcoat" or Wachmantel in German. These were replaced by Surcoats early in the War but continued to be worn. I am not surprised it was in Norway, a lot of WH winter clothing and other equipment was sent there after the War.

Unusual construction and nice coat. Those leather panels at the waist level with the loops may have been designed to stow stick grenades as illustrated on an identical example on Collector's Guild some years ago if anyone recalls?

Very nice. A neighbour of mine helped to restore an old barn, and the farmer gave him a wintercoat like this. Not this nice- but still a ww2 leftover.

                              Unusual overcoat for a Recruiter.
