Here is my most recent acquisition and something that has been on my wish list for QUITE a while. Tunic and breeches to a Heer Generalleutnant. It is not named unfortunately but the owner was a WWI veteran having received EKII + Spange and EKI + spange. He was also involved during the Ost front campaign. The remaining two award loops will require some speculation. This rank of General would have been in command of a full Division.
The tunic shows good honest wear and was definitely worn in the field. All insignia is originally applied and has so clearly been on there since the war as exhibited by the nesting of the collar tabs and eagle. Shoulder boards feature large WWI style shoulder pips and retain more of their gold finish than what shows in the photos. The ribbon bar is obviously NOT original to the tunic and not even close to being correct for this tunic. But it works for now until I can find something more suitable.
