    what is a "Tropenkotter" ?

    Gentlemen,

    I own a Soldbuch of a fallen member of the Afrikakorps.

    On the page where the equipment/uniform entries are, there is a printed sheet. One item (that was not given to the soldier but is mentioned there is a

    TROPENKOTTER

    Anyone any idea what this may be?

    I somehow have in mind that I have heard the word before but I not even found KOTTER in german wikipedia.

    Any suggestions?

    I think it should say "TROPENKOFFER" which is a "tropical suitcase". Maybe a misprint?
