As with 99% of these postwar Dyed jackets, everything is blackend, full liner, insides of the pockets... that's the big give-away.

Thanks guys! So post war dyed most likely!

or perhaps war time dyed for TeNo use? (wrong buttons of course)
Note I now see a triangular sleeve eagle patch (TeNo?)
and remnents of a wider than usual cuff title which makes sense for TeNo.
      btw
I am retracting my comment about possible removable screw on collar tabs...not holes that would match the dimensions and width...
So you can ignore that part of my forensics... (not wannabe Alg.SS)

I agree, Allied regulations called for all military clothing used by civilians and POWs after the War ended to be dyed black. They actually would set up vats of dye in the Stadtmitte etc. on certain days to do this.

OK so the likelyhood that its postwar dyed is pretty strong ...
or it's a period recycled uniform possibly for war time TeNo use, as such a sleeve eagle fits the ghost on the sleeve! Photo credit:EZentner(WarrelicsForum)
(same goes for the cuff title ghost in post 17)

I will probably restore it as TeNo based on the forensics...still tough call! Those ghost could have been created postwar with a prior restoration job.
Who knows? I paid $150 + postage so I'm not disappointed!
Eitherway glad to hear its at least a real tunic! That was the main thing I wanted to hear! Thanks guys!

Well TeNo is out of the question... Just got confirmed those uniforms were actually dark Navy Blue...not black...
(insignia was black backed) and eventhough in these images the tunic appears to be more blue than black,
its definately dyed black as the explanation offered by fellow members and most likely post war treated like this!
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge guys!!

I remember 20 years ago, I've seen several of them in gunshows in french. According to the seller they were dyed postwar for civilian use.

Here's something interesting! WAF member Norge posted this black dyed M43 tunic on the forum in 2005.
Note the number stitched in the lining!

My number again....Similar location!!! (close to the wound dressing pocket)
That's not a coincidence! For sure a clue!
Probably POW related I would assume?
